The powerful text of the Bhagavad Gita is chanted in Sanskrit by Vedamurti Shri Vivek Godbole, a brahmin priest from India. He has dedicated his whole life to the study and chanting of the ancient Indian scriptures. In this recording his voice is accompanied by the tamboura, an Indian stringed instrument that can help create an inner focus while listing. The recording begins with a Shri Guru Paduka-Panchakam, “Five stanzas on the Sandals of Shri Guru” and the Gita Dhyanam, “Meditation on the Gita”. Both serve as an invocation before the text of the Bhagavad Gita.
