Each year Siddha Yogis come together to celebrate the auspicious night of Mahashivaratri that carries the blessings of a great boon Lord Shiva bestowed for the benefit of all. The boon is that on this night, the power of each repetition of the great mantra of Shiva - Om Namah Shivaya - is magnified a thousandfold. In Australia, in 2018 Mahashivaratri falls on the night of Wednesday 14 February.
In this Celebration Satsang, we will listen to a bhajan sung by our beloved Gurumayi, listen to the story of the “Hunter and the Deer,” and chant and meditate. Refer to the local venues calendars for details on when this event will be held.
Siddha Yoga holidays mark occasions of significance in the Siddha Yoga calendar. These are times when Siddha Yogis celebrate the abundant spiritual legacy of the Siddha Yoga path, engaging with the teachings and practices that honour that holiday. They are indeed holy days. There are eight Siddha Yoga holidays in the year. Each focuses on a particular Siddha Yoga practice.
